The Every Woman Every Child Innovation Marketplace, in collaboration with the United Nations Foundation and other partners, hosted an interactive breakfast event on 23 May 2018 alongside the World Health Assembly. The event brought together approximately 70 guests from business, government, civil society and UN partners. Dr. Soumya Swaminathan, Deputy-Director General for Programmes at the WHO, delivered the key note remarks, while Dr. Michelle Bachelet, Co-Chair of the High-Level Steering Group for EWEC and new Board Chair of PMNCH, and Dr. Amy Baker, Director General of Health and Nutrition in the Global Issues and Development Branch of Global Affairs Canada, also shared their insights. Five innovators from the Innovation Marketplace portfolio were also invited to showcase their innovations.
